DECLARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY

I, KARL A. BRABENECSUPERVISOR, of the Town of DEERPARK, pursuant to article 2-B, section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, hereby certify as follows:

There exists in the Town of Deerpark SEVERE FLOODING INCIDENTS THROUGHOUT THE TOWN. As a result of the disaster, there exists a Flooding emergency involving various roads and neighborhoods in the Town, specifically, Deerpark Manor, Manor Lane, Port Orange Road, Orange County Route 61,  US Route 209, Big Pond Road, Riversedge Road, Shore Drive, Academy Avenue, Upper Brook Road, Boxbaum Road.

As a result of this disaster, a State of Emergency within the Town of Deerpark is now in effect.

State of Emergency is in effect as of Friday, March 11, 2011, 5:00 am until further notice.

Pursuant to this STATE OF EMERGENCY, I hereby order the following:

1.    The presence of unauthorized persons in the above area is prohibited.

2.    The ingress and egress of unauthorized vehicles in the above area is prohibited.

3.    The sale, distribution, or transportation of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives, or flammable liquids in the above area is prohibited, or subject to the following:

4.    Orders are subject to revision upon demand.

5.    The Deerpark Emergency Operations Center is activated and can be reached at 845-856-3911.
