ORDER TO RESCIND STATE OF EMERGENCY

ORDER TO RESCIND STATE OF EMERGENCY
as of 3/11/11 – 2:00 PM

I, KARL A. BRABENEC, SUPERVISOR, of the Town of DEERPARK, pursuant to article 2-B, section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, hereby rescind the State of Emergency put into effect at 5:00 AM on March 11, 2011.

Water levels at the Neversink and Pine Kill Rivers have started to recede.  Town Emergency Personnel were able to help numerous residents with their flooding issues throughout the town, which included locations in Deerpark Manor, Myers Grove, and Hobson Road.  About three families have been located to a temporary shelter in the Port Jervis High School.  The Town Highway Department has secured and opened up most of the roads that were closed due to flooding issues.  Orange County Route 61 remains temporarily closed from the Sullivan County border (Route 209) to Route 211.  Access is only to local traffic on those roads.  In addition, there are still water problems on Riversedge Rd.

The Emergency Operations Center will remain open until further notice.  The EOC can be reached at 845-856-E911 (3911).
