(HUGUENOT, NY) – Deerpark Supervisor Karl A. Brabenec is recommending to voluntarily evacuate from the following areas in Deerpark: Myers Grove, Deerpark Manor, Lower Route 209 area (by Hobson Road), Edgewater Lane, Sleepy Hollow and Rivers Edge Road due to the potential for heavy flooding and hurricane force winds. In addition, Brabenec has declared a local state of emergency starting at 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2011 until further notice. The Deerpark Emergency Operations Center will be activated either on Saturday or Sunday depending on when the storm arrives in the area.
