Assistance for Flood Damaged small businesses, non-profits, and farms

In December, the State Legislature held a special session to provide assistance for those impacted by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. $21 million has been targeted for:

  • small businesses;
  • not-for-profit organizations;
  • farms or owners or multiple dwellings that sustained direct physical flood-related damage as a result of Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee.
  • That $21 million in funding is available in the form of grants for storm-related repairs and restoration, and for other storm-related costs, which either have nor, or will not, be compensated by any other federal, state or local recovery program or any third-party payers such as insurance.

    The maximum grant is $20,000. All applications must be postmarked by March 16, 2012.
